Port Aransas, located in Nueces County, is known for its many beaches and excellent seafood. This waterside town may be small it size, but its close proximity to fish filled waterways make Port Aransas one of the top destinations in Texas for fine seafood dining.

The Venetian Hot Plate offers a unique fusion of Italian and seafood. Their menu includes a variety pasta entrees, salads, sides and appetizers, as well as an extensive list of fine wines to pair with your meal. If you’re having trouble selecting an entree, a favorite amongst guests is the pasta with mussels, scallops, and shrimp tossed with red pepper.

Liberty Hall

The Liberty Hall is known for its exquisite selection of seafood and vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant serves a rotating menu of fresh, locally foraged fish. Examples of previous menu items include the citrus crusted snapper and the red snapper drizzled with a tomato and garlic reduction.
Roosevelt’s at the Tarpon Inn

Roosevelt’s at the Tarpon Inn serves an eclectic menu of seafood and meat based entrees. For a fun and unique dining experience, bring in your prepared fillet and Roosevelt’s at the Tarpon Inn will cook your fresh catch for you. This restaurant also offers gluten free entrees.

We discovered some of the most popular restaurants, as well as hidden gems, where you’ll find the locals hanging out. With so many wonderful eateries, it may be difficult to choose your favorite.
Iries Island Food

This local secret is known for its fresh seafood specialties and burgers. Diners recommend that you don’t leave without trying the delicious crème brûlee—so save room for dessert!
Beach & Station Street Grill

The Beach & Station Street Grill is another local favorite. You’ll find lots of seafood dishes, as well as Gumbo on the menu. Make sure you bring some cash along with your appetite—as this restaurant does not accept credit cards.
Port A Pizzeria

If you’re in the mood for something other than seafood, why not try the area’s best pizza? This casual eatery has a full salad bar and pizza buffet seven days a week.
Frankie’s Kitchen

People travel from afar to get their Frankie’s fix. They’re widely known for their delicious, Texas-sized breakfasts, but they’re open for lunch, too.
